Network

The availability of high speed Ethernet Access over copper is transforming the networks of many small and medium sized enterprise businesses (SMEs) and branch offices in Belgium, enabling them to overcome the “first mile bottleneck” and extend broadband applications troughout all of their offices.

Destiny is a licensed LLU operator utilizing a bonded multi-pair technology for your access.

Local Loop Unbundling (LLU)

The local loop is the term given to the copper pair that runs from a customer’s site to the local dominant carrier's exchange. These circuits are owned by the dominant carrier but other service providers have been able to access these lines. The advent of local loop unbundling has enabled Destiny to offer very cost effective networks to businesses and buildings.

Destiny's Presence at the Local Exchange Level (LEX)

Copper pairs are terminated on the main distribution frame and are then connected to Destiny’s network equipment.

Destiny's Backbone Network

Destiny runs a provider-independent and multi-homed internet backbone. The network is architected around Cisco Systems equipment and technology. All nodes are connected using a redundant ring structure.

Destiny has a 10GigE ready Ethernet-based network at different locations (POP's). All internal connections are redundant using different loops to provide highest availability. All internal links are using MPLS and are supporting end-to-end QOS.

At our main POP locations, our network is connected with several TIER-1 carriers through BGP. This ensures the shortest route to destination is always selected.
