Marketing Manager

Destiny is looking for a creative, out-of-the-box marketing manager, and not just anyone. As Marketing Manager with Destiny, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that Belgian SMEs and larger companies recognise our brand. Like no-one else, you will develop a marketing strategy and be a real expert in coordinating lead generation, from online to offline sales campaigns. You’ll always keep the big picture in mind (particularly Destiny’s must-win battles) so that your strategy and way of working will be aligned with it. You’ll have your own team, be a member of the Belgian management team and report directly to the Managing Director of Belgium.

What will you be doing?

  • You’ll be the contact for marketing and communication and will devise the marketing strategy for Destiny Belgium. You’ll keep our company’s general strategy and vision in mind and will naturally incorporate the branding created by the Destiny Group.
  • Your main focus will be on optimising our brand recognition and generating leads in the cloud communication B2B market. You’ll have a totally free hand here, but will work closely with our marketing agency, the rest of your team and the company’s sales & product managers.
  • You’ll coordinate mergers and acquisitions. You’ll take responsibility for previous acquisitions and ensure their complete rebranding and integration on the marketing level, and you’ll collaborate in the coordination of potential future acquisitions.
  • You’ll oversee the marketing budget and keep it under control. You’ll also manage the marketing calendar. You’ll be responsible for achieving the marketing projects, objectives and KPIs.
  • In addition to the lead generation programme, you – together with the marketing team – will coordinate product launches, events, and internal and external communication. 
  • You’ll also have a keen interest in what is happening in the marketing market. You’ll gather, analyse and interpret new digital marketing trends at regular intervals and examine whether they are relevant to our environment.

What skills do you need?

  • You have a degree in marketing or communication and preferably have 5 years of experience in the area of product management or marketing.
  • You’ve got a good knowledge of marketing automation tools (e.g. Hubspot) and the main Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
  • You’re extremely customer oriented: you only launch campaigns once you know for sure that the subjects have been internally briefed.
  • You’re good at planning and coordination. You’re hands-on, but can also keep the “helicopter view” so that you never lose sight of the big picture. You ensure that deadlines are met by yourself or by other teams.
  • You cope easily with translating something technical about a product into a clear and concrete story.
  • You like to work in a dynamic environment, where there is still space to set up structures. You’re not afraid of a bit of chaos and flexibility.
  • You speak fluent English and your mother tongue is French or Dutch.
  • You're autonomous, but good at collaborating with other teams.  
  • Experience with B2B environments and software/ICT/technology is a major plus.
  • You’ve got outstanding communication skills and can work with anyone within our company and with our customers.
  • You’ve the courage to go beyond familiar marketing principles: you enjoy challenges.
